Expectations and Anticipations: Yuyao

01:07 Unknown 1 Comments

On thursday, my flight to China will take off from Frankfurt. First stop will be at the airport in Hong Kong, and then another plane to Ningbo. There, I will be picked up by an AIESECer to go to Yuyao so that I can do an internship there.
I will be teaching english in an academy there and I am already very excited. I also have mixed feelings. On the one hand, I am impatient for everything that is about to happen in that foreign country and culture. On the other hand, I know that I will miss my family and friends so much. I am actually not overly afraid of a culture shock or the language barriers, on the contrary, I am excited for that. I want to know how it feels like, being in a country in which you barely understand the language.

Because of that, I thought about writing about my expectations and my travel plans in that little city I will be living. The list won't be too long, and here it is already:

Since I will be living and working here, I looked through its important sights which are mainly based on nature and parks. Here are some things I would like to see there:

This list was not too long, but the city I will be living in is not so big either. Still, it is bigger than Stuttgart, which confuses me a little bit because it is a quite unknown city. Even some chinese have never heard of that city. But it already looks beautiful and clean on the pictures. It has that typical kind of nature I have always associated China with :D
On my next few posts I will make such a list about some other cities as well.
Until then,
Here to make you happy!
